The Texas Instruments TVP5146M2PFP is a 10-bit, single-chip digital video decoder designed to digitize and decode NTSC, PAL, and SECAM video signals. It features four 30-MSPS, 11-bit A/D channels with programmable gain control, supporting a wide range of video input standards including NTSC (J, M, 4.43), PAL (B, D, G, H, I, M, N, Nc, 60), and SECAM (B, D, G, K, K1, L), as well as CVBS and S-Video.
This decoder offers versatile video output formats such as 10-bit ITU-R BT.656 4:2:2 YCbCr with embedded syncs, 10-bit 4:2:2 YCbCr with separate syncs, and 20-bit 4:2:2 YCbCr with separate syncs. It supports analog SD YPbPr component and SCART (RGB/YPbPr + CVBS) video formats with embedded sync. The device operates with a 1.8-V digital core and 3.3-V digital I/O.
Designed for applications in monitors and TVs, the TVP5146M2PFP is housed in an 80-HTQFP (12x12) package and is suitable for surface mount applications. It includes features like an adaptive 2-D 5-line comb filter for composite video inputs and patented Chroma Transient Improvement (CTI) circuitry. The device also supports VBI data processing for Teletext, CC, and other services.
