The Texas Instruments TUSB216RWBT is a USB 2.0 Redriver designed to condition high-speed signals in transmission channels. It compensates for AC and DC losses, improving signal integrity over longer cable lengths. This device supports USB 2.0, OTG 2.0, and BC 1.2 standards, providing compatibility with various USB configurations.
The TUSB216RWBT features a wide operating voltage range of 2.3V to 6.5V and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It offers a maximum data rate of 480Mbps and includes input equalization for signal conditioning. The redriver is available in a 12-X2QFN package, suitable for surface mount applications.
This redriver is engineered to enhance USB 2.0 High Speed signal transitions and static voltage levels through patented edge boost and DC boost designs. It also incorporates pre-equalization to improve receiver sensitivity and compensate for ISI jitter in applications with longer cables. The TUSB216RWBT does not alter packet timing or add propagation delay, ensuring signal quality is improved without latency.
With its ability to support up to 5-meter cables and the option to daisy-chain devices for longer reach, the TUSB216RWBT is a scalable solution for demanding USB 2.0 applications. It is compatible with USB Low Speed and Full Speed signals without degradation.
