The TUSB1310ZAY from Texas Instruments is a single-port, 5.0-Gbps USB 3.0 physical layer transceiver. It is fully compliant with the USB 3.0 specification and supports cable lengths of 3+ meters. The device features a fully adaptive equalizer to optimize receiver sensitivity.

 

This transceiver integrates PIPE3 and ULPI interfaces for connection to the link layer controller. The PIPE interface supports 16-bit SDR mode at 250 MHz, compliant with the PHY Interface for the USB Architectures (PIPE) version 3.0. The ULPI interface supports 8-bit SDR mode at 60 MHz and is compliant with the UTMI+ Low Pin Interface (ULPI) specification revision 1.1.

 

General features include IEEE 1149.1 and IEEE 1149.6 JTAG support. The TUSB1310ZAY operates on a single reference clock selectable from 20, 25, 30, or 40 MHz and supports 3.3-, 1.8-, and 1.1-V supply voltages. The I/O is available in a lead-free 175-ball 12x12mm NFBGA package (175ZAY).

 

Target applications include surveillance cameras, multimedia handsets, smartphones, digital still cameras, portable media players, personal navigation devices, audio docks, video IP phones, wireless IP phones, and software-defined radios.
