The header is housed in a black liquid crystal polymer (LCP) insulator with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C when paired with gold plating. Electrically, it supports up to 8 Gbps data rates and offers current ratings depending on the mating socket: 4.7A with SSW, 5.4A with SSM, 4.1A with HLE, and 5.0A with BCS (per pin, 2 positions powered). Voltage ratings are 495 VAC with BCS and 475 VAC with SSM.

 

Packaged in tape and reel (175 pieces per reel), the header includes a polyimide pick and place pad for automated assembly. It is an Extended Life Product, qualified for severe environments per MIL-DTL-55302, with high mating cycle capabilities (250 to 2,500 cycles).
