The TSL2584TSV is a very-high sensitivity light-to-digital converter from ams OSRAM that transforms light intensity into a digital signal output with a direct I2C interface. It combines a broadband photodiode, an infrared-responding photodiode, and a photopic infrared-blocking filter on a single CMOS integrated circuit.
Key features include a dynamic range of 1,000,000:1, programmable analog gain and integration time, and a low sleep state current of 3.0 μA. The device supports an I2C Fast Mode compatible interface with data rates up to 400 kbit/s and input voltage levels compatible with a 1.8V bus.
Designed for applications such as display backlight control and keyboard illumination control, the TSL2584TSV approximates human eye response. It is available in an ultra-small TSV (Through Silicon Via) footprint measuring 1.145 mm x 1.660 mm with a height of 0.218 mm without solder balls.
The device supports a traditional level-style interrupt that remains asserted until cleared by firmware. It is MSL1 rated with unlimited manufacturing floor life.
The TSL2584TSV has a dynamic range of 1,000,000:1.
The typical sleep current for the TSL2584TSV is 3.0 μA.
The TSL2584TSV uses an industry-standard two-wire I2C interface.
