The Texas Instruments TSB82AA2PGE is a discrete 1394b link-layer device, functioning as an OHCI-Lynx Controller. It is engineered to meet the demanding requirements of modern 1394 bus designs, offering exceptional 800M bits/s performance for efficient data transfer between PCI and 1394 buses.

This controller supports multiple serial bus data rates, including 100M, 200M, 400M, and 800M bits/s. It features a single 3.3V supply with an internal 1.8V core voltage regulator and is compatible with 3.3V and 5V PCI signaling environments. The device includes deep FIFOs for both transmit (5K asynchronous, 2K isochronous) and receive (2K asynchronous, 2K isochronous) to tolerate large host latency.
