It features automated SBP-2 transport protocol engine and hardware-implemented command translation.

 

The TSB42AA9APZT utilizes 0.18-micron CMOS technology and comes in a space-saving 100-pin TQFP package. It includes an external flash PROM/EPROM interface for easy program code changes during prototyping and an internal parameter RAM for fast access to configuration ROM and SBP-2 parameters. A 2-wire serial bus interface is also included for loading configuration ROM information from a serial EEPROM.

 

This device automates SBP-2 target controller functions and data handling in hardware, reducing processor load. It is suitable for data storage applications that support the SBP-2 transaction layer as a target device.
