The Philips TSA5520T/C3 is a versatile 1.3 GHz universal bus-controlled TV synthesizer designed for TV tuners and front ends, as well as VCR tuners.
This integrated circuit features a complete 1.3 GHz single-chip system with a 33V output tuning voltage. It includes a 15-bit programmable divider and supports programmable reference divider ratios of 512, 640, or 1024. The device also offers programmable charge-pump current options of 60 or 280 µA.
Connectivity is handled via a universal bus protocol, supporting either I2C-bus or a 3-wire bus. The I2C-bus mode is limited to write operations, while the 3-wire bus protocol allows for 18 or 19 bits of transmission, with an additional protocol for 27 bits for test and features.
