TS3USB3000

The TS3USB3000 is a versatile DPDT multiplexer from Texas Instruments, integrating both a high-speed Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) switch and a USB 2.0 High-Speed (480 Mbps) switch within a single package. This design enables system designers to utilize a common USB or Micro-USB connector for both MHL video signals and USB data, streamlining connectivity in mobile applications.

Key electrical characteristics include a VCC range of 2.3 V to 4.8 V, ensuring compatibility with various power supplies. Both the MHL and USB switches boast a bandwidth of 6.1 GHz. The device features an ON-resistance of 5.7 Ω (typical) for the MHL switch and 4.6 Ω (typical) for the USB switch, with corresponding ON-capacitances of 1.6 pF and 1.4 pF. Current consumption is typically 30 µA. The TS3USB3000 also incorporates special features such as IOFF Protection to prevent current leakage in a powered-down state and Overvoltage Tolerance (OVT) on all I/O pins up to 5.5 V, along with Overvoltage Protection for 9-V shorts to D+/- pins. Control inputs (SEL, OE) are 1.8-V compatible.

Packaged in a compact 10-pin UQFN with dimensions of 1.5 mm × 2 mm and a 0.5-mm pitch, the TS3USB3000 is well-suited for space-constrained applications. It offers robust ESD performance with 3.5-kV Human Body Model and 1-kV Charged-Device Model ratings. The operating temperature range is from -40 °C to 85 °C, making it suitable for a wide array of environments.
