TPSMD33A

The TPSMD33A is a 3000W unidirectional TVS diode designed by Littelfuse to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 33V, a clamping voltage of 53.3V at 56.3A peak pulse current, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000W (10/1000μs waveform). The device provides a response time of less than 1 picosecond and ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. The diode has a maximum forward voltage of 3.5V at 100A and a peak forward surge current of 300A (8.3ms single half sine wave). Reverse leakage current is limited to ≤2μA at voltages above 10V.

This TVS diode is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications and is rated for operating junction temperatures from -65°C to 150°C. It is built with a glass passivated chip and offers a typical thermal resistance of 15°C/W from junction to lead and 75°C/W from junction to ambient. The part is surface mounted in a DO-214AB (SMC) package, which provides a compact footprint with built-in strain relief.

The TPSMD33A is RoHS compliant, lead-free (E3), halogen free, and has a flammability rating of UL V-0. It is suitable for use in automotive, telecom, industrial, and consumer electronics applications where protection against lightning-induced transients and other voltage events is required.
