The Littelfuse TPSMD20A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from the TPSMD series, designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) of 20V, a maximum clamping voltage (VC) of 32.4V, a peak pulse current (IPP) of 92.6A, and a peak pulse power (PPP) of 3000W (10/1000μs waveform). The device operates over a wide junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
This TVS diode is AEC-Q101 qualified, making it suitable for automotive applications. It features a surface-mount DO-214AB (SMC) package with matte tin terminal finish, supporting compact PCB layouts. The TPSMD20A also provides ESD protection per IEC-61000-4-2 (30kV air/contact) and EFT protection per IEC-61000-4-4. It is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and halogen-free.
The TPSMD20A is ideal for use in automotive electronics, I/O interfaces, VCC bus protection, telecommunications, industrial equipment, and consumer electronics where reliable transient suppression is required.
