The Texas Instruments TPSM846C23MOLR is a complete integrated PMBus-compliant step-down power module. It delivers up to 35A output current from a 4.5V to 15V input bus, with an adjustable output voltage range from 0.35V to 2V. The module features output voltage accuracy as tight as 0.5% and switching frequency adjustable from 300kHz to 1MHz with external clock synchronization.
This synchronous buck module integrates the controller, power MOSFETs, inductor, and compensation components into a compact 59-SMD module (15mm x 16mm, 6.4mm height). It includes differential remote sense, power-good output, prebias monotonic start-up, and comprehensive PMBus telemetry for monitoring current, voltage, and temperature. Protection features include OCP, OTP, OVP, UVLO, and programmable fault response.
The module is stackable up to 70A with current sharing, and is pin-compatible with the non-PMBus TPSM846C24. It operates over -40°C to +105°C ambient temperature with an enhanced thermal performance of 8.7°C/W, and meets EN55022 Class A EMI emissions. Surface mount mounting with a 59-QFM (15x16) device package.
