The TPSM82480MOPR is a Non-Isolated Point-of-Load (PoL) module from Texas Instruments featuring a synchronous buck topology with integrated inductor. It delivers up to 6A continuous output current with no derating up to 85°C ambient. The input voltage range is 2.4V to 5.5V, and the output voltage is adjustable from 0.6V to 5.5V.
This module operates at a fixed switching frequency between 2000kHz and 3000kHz using current mode control for fast transient response. Key features include overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). Additional capabilities such as enable control, power good indicator, output discharge, voltage selection (VSEL), and tracking make it suitable for complex power sequencing requirements. It supports multiphase operation and phase interleaving for higher current applications.
