TPS84610RKGR

The TPS84610RKGR is a non-isolated point-of-load (PoL) module from Texas Instruments, integrating a 6A DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, inductor, and passives in a compact BQFN package. It operates from a 2.95V to 6V input and provides an adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 3.6V with ±1% reference accuracy.

Key features include efficiencies up to 96%, adjustable switching frequency from 500 kHz to 2 MHz, synchronization to an external clock, programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO), power good output, output overcurrent protection, and over-temperature protection. The module supports enable control (active high) and adjustable slow-start.

The device is designed for commercial ITE applications and is suitable for powering DSPs, FPGAs, and other point-of-load designs. It requires as few as three external components and eliminates loop compensation and magnetics selection.

The module is surface-mount in a 39-BQFN exposed pad package (11.0mm x 9.0mm x 2.8mm) with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features enhanced thermal performance with 12°C/W junction-to-ambient thermal resistance and meets EN55022 Class B emissions.
