TPS84410RKGR

The TPS84410RKGR is a non-isolated point-of-load (PoL) module from Texas Instruments, integrating a 4A DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, an inductor, and passives in a compact BQFN package. It requires as few as three external components and eliminates loop compensation and magnetics selection.

This module operates from an input voltage range of 2.95V to 6V and provides an adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 3.6V with ±1% reference accuracy. The switching frequency is adjustable from 500kHz to 2MHz and can be synchronized to an external clock. Efficiency reaches up to 96%, reducing power loss in space-constrained designs.

The device includes features such as programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO), output overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, power good output, adjustable slow-start, and output voltage sequencing/tracking. It meets EN55022 Class B emissions standards.

The module is housed in a 39-BQFN exposed pad package measuring 11.0mm x 9.0mm x 2.8mm, suitable for surface mount assembly. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 12°C/W, allowing full 4A output at 85°C ambient without airflow. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
