TPS7A4700RGWR

The Texas Instruments TPS7A4700RGWR is a positive voltage, ultralow-noise (4 µVRMS), low-dropout linear regulator (LDO) designed for high-accuracy instrumentation applications. It can source a 1-A load and operates with an input voltage range from +3V to +36V.

This LDO offers excellent power-supply ripple rejection (PSRR) of 82 dB at 100 Hz and down to ≥ 55 dB across a wide frequency range. It features two output voltage modes: an ANY-OUT™ version programmable via PCB layout for outputs up to 20.5V, and an adjustable version (TPS7A4701 only) for outputs up to 34V using external feedback resistors. The device includes a CMOS logic-level compatible enable pin and built-in fixed current limit and thermal shutdown protection.

The TPS7A4700RGWR is housed in a 5mm x 5mm, 20-VQFN exposed pad package, suitable for surface mounting. Its low noise and high PSRR make it ideal for powering sensitive analog circuitry such as operational amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, and RF components. It is also effective for post DC-DC converter regulation, filtering out switching ripple to ensure clean voltage rails for critical applications in medical, radio frequency, and test-and-measurement equipment.

Key electrical characteristics include a typical dropout voltage of 307 mV at 1A and a typical quiescent current of 0.58 mA. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
