With its low output noise (69µVRMS for the new chip) and excellent PSRR (47dB at 100kHz), the TPS79225DBVR is well-suited for powering sensitive analog loads in devices such as smartphones, tablets, and home entertainment systems. It features an enable pin for control and protection features including over current, over temperature, reverse polarity, and under voltage lockout.

 

The regulator is stable with a small 2.2µF ceramic capacitor on the output. It is supplied in a compact SOT-23-5 (SC-74A, SOT-753) surface-mount package, measuring 2.9mm x 2.8mm, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
