The Texas Instruments TPS77601PWP is a high-performance, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator designed for applications requiring fast transient response and low quiescent current. It can deliver up to 500mA of output current with a very low dropout voltage, typically 169mV at 500mA.
This LDO regulator features ultralow quiescent current, typically 85µA, which is independent of output loading. It also includes a sleep mode that reduces quiescent current to 1µA. The TPS77601PWP offers a 2% output voltage tolerance over specified conditions for fixed-output versions and is available in adjustable versions.
Designed for stability with a 10µF low ESR capacitor, this device is suitable for FPGA power, DSP core, and I/O voltages. It is available in a 20-pin HTSSOP package with surface mount mounting type. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
Key features include thermal shutdown protection, over current protection, and reverse polarity protection. The TPS776xx series also provides an open-drain Power Good (PG) output, useful for monitoring power-on reset conditions.
