TPS65233RTER

The Texas Instruments TPS65233RTER is a Power Management IC (PMIC) specifically designed as an LNB Voltage Regulator with I2C Interface. It is compliant with DiSEqC 1.x standards and supports both 5-V and 12-V power bus configurations.

This device features a buck topology with a maximum input voltage of 20V and a maximum output voltage of 18.6V. It can deliver up to 1A of output current, with an accurate output current limit adjustable via external resistor and I2C. Key electrical features include comm control, enable functionality, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C.

The TPS65233RTER is housed in a compact 16-pin WQFN package measuring 3mm x 3mm, suitable for surface mount applications. It integrates a boost converter with low Rds(on) internal power switch, a dedicated enable pin for non-I2C applications, and a low noise, low drop output with a push-pull output stage. It also includes a built-in accurate 22-kHz tone generator or external pin adjustable soft-start and 13-V/18-V voltage transition time control.

This regulator is compliant with main satellite receiver systems and offers diagnostics for output voltage level, input supply UVLO, and DiSEqC tone output, as well as cable disconnect diagnostics.
