The Texas Instruments TPS65182BRGZT is a single-chip power management solution specifically designed for E Ink Vizplex-enabled electronic paper displays. It accepts a low-voltage input supply ranging from 3V to 6V and generates the necessary positive and negative gate and source driver voltages, as well as the back-plane bias.
Key electrical specifications include two adjustable LDOs capable of providing up to 15V (VPOS) and -15V (VNEG) at 120mA each, with accurate output voltage tracking. Two charge pumps provide gate driver supply voltages of up to 22V (VDDH) and -20V (VEE). An adjustable VCOM driver supports panel back-plane biasing from -0.3V to -2.5V.
The device operates within a temperature range of -10°C to 85°C and features an I2C serial interface with a slave address of 0x48h. It is housed in a 48-VQFN (7mm x 7mm) package, offering a thermally enhanced design for efficient heat management. Flexible power-up sequencing and sleep mode support are also included.
This PMIC is suitable for applications requiring precise voltage control for E Ink displays, such as portable electronic devices, signage, and e-readers.
