The Texas Instruments TPS65150RGER is a specialized power management integrated circuit designed for LCD displays. It offers a compact solution providing all three voltages required by thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD displays.

 

With an input voltage range of 1.8 V to 6.0 V, this device is suitable for notebook applications powered by 2.5-V or 3.3-V input rails, or monitor applications with a 5-V input voltage rail. It features an integrated high-current buffer to provide the VCOM voltage for the TFT backplane and regulated charge pump drivers for positive VGH and negative VGL bias voltages.

 

The TPS65150RGER supports adjustable power-on sequencing for VGL and VGH, and includes a high-voltage switch to isolate VGH. It has an integrated 2-A internal MOSFET switch and can deliver a main output voltage (VS) up to 15 V with less than 1% output voltage accuracy. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.

 

This IC is available in a 24-VQFN (4x4) package with surface mount mounting type.
