The Texas Instruments TPS65022RHAT is an integrated Power Management IC (PMIC) specifically designed for applications powered by a single Li-Ion or Li-Polymer cell. This device provides multiple power rails required in processor-based systems.
Key features include three highly efficient step-down converters with efficiencies up to 97% for system voltage, 95% for memory voltage, and 90% for processor core voltage. It also incorporates a 30-mA LDO and switch for the real-time clock (VRTC) and two 200 mA general-purpose LDOs. The TPS65022RHAT supports dynamic voltage management for the processor core and allows preselectable LDO voltage using two digital input pins.
This PMIC operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and features an I²C compatible serial interface for control. It includes essential protection features such as thermal shutdown and under-voltage lockout. The device is housed in a 40-VQFN (6x6) package, suitable for surface mount.
