The Texas Instruments TPS2205IDF is a highly integrated PC Card power-interface switch that provides a comprehensive power management solution for dual-slot PC Card applications. It combines discrete power MOSFETs, logic circuitry, current limiting, and thermal protection onto a single integrated circuit, utilizing Texas Instruments' LinBiCMOS process.

This device allows for the distribution of 3.3-V, 5-V, and/or 12-V card power, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of PCMCIA controllers from manufacturers like Cirrus, Ricoh, O2Micro, and Intel. The integrated current-limiting feature eliminates the need for external fuses, thereby reducing component count and enhancing system reliability.
