The TPD3E001DRLR is a three-channel Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) based Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection diode array from Texas Instruments. It is rated to dissipate ESD strikes at the maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard (Level 4), with ±8kV contact discharge and ±15kV air-gap discharge capability.
This device has a 1.5-pF typical IO capacitance per channel, making it suitable for use in high-speed data IO interfaces such as USB 2.0. The ultra-low leakage current of 1 nA maximum is appropriate for precision analog measurements. Key electrical specifications include a 5.5V maximum reverse standoff voltage, 11V minimum breakdown voltage, and a 25V clamping voltage. The device can handle 100W peak pulse power and 5.5A peak pulse current under an 8/20 µs waveform.
The TPD3E001DRLR is offered in a space-saving SOT-553 package (supplier device package SOT-5) and is specified for operation from -40°C to 85°C. It is a surface-mount component suitable for general-purpose ESD protection applications.
