The TPD2EUSB30DRTR is a dual-channel transient voltage suppressor (TVS) based ESD protection diode array from Texas Instruments. It is designed to protect high-speed data lines from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and surge events. With a reverse standoff voltage of 5.5V and a typical clamping voltage of 8V, it provides robust protection for USB 3.0 interfaces and other high-speed differential IOs.
The device features an ultra-low typical capacitance of 0.7pF, ensuring signal integrity at data rates up to 5 Gbps. It offers IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection up to ±8kV (contact) and IEC 61000-4-5 surge protection up to 5A (8/20µs). The dynamic resistance is typically 0.6Ω, contributing to effective clamping performance.
The TPD2EUSB30DRTR is housed in a space-saving SOT-9X3 (DRT) package with a 1mm x 1mm footprint, suitable for surface mount assembly. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The flow-through pin mapping simplifies PCB layout. This device is ideal for portable electronics, smartphones, tablets, and other applications requiring high-speed data line protection.
