The Texas Instruments TPD2E001 is a two-channel Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) based Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection diode array. It is rated to dissipate ESD strikes at the maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 international standard, providing ±8-kV contact discharge and ±15-kV air-gap discharge protection.
This device features a low IO capacitance of 1.5 pF (typical) and very low leakage current of 1 nA (maximum), making it suitable for high-speed data lines. The supply voltage range is from 0.9 V to 5.5 V. The TPD2E001 is available in space-saving packages such as DRL, DRY, and WSON.
Applications for the TPD2E001 include USB 2.0, Ethernet, FireWire™, LVDS, and SVGA video connections. It is also used in devices like glucose meters and medical imaging equipment. Alternate 3, 4, and 6-channel options like TPD3E001, TPD4E001, and TPD6E001 are also available from Texas Instruments.
