The Texas Instruments TPD1E0B04DPLR is a 1-channel, bidirectional TVS ESD protection diode array specifically designed for protecting sensitive circuits like USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, as well as antennas. It meets the stringent IEC 61000-4-2 international standard for ESD protection, rated at Level 4 for contact discharge (±8kV) and air gap discharge (±9kV).
This device features a very low IO capacitance of 0.13pF, making it suitable for high-speed interfaces operating up to 60Gbps, including USB 4.0 and below. Its typical DC breakdown voltage is 6.7V, with an ultra-low leakage current of a maximum of 10nA. The TPD1E0B04DPLR also provides EFT protection of 80A (5/50ns) and surge protection of 1.7A (8/20µs).
Designed for industrial applications, it operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The TPD1E0B04DPLR is available in an ultra-small 0201 (0603 Metric) package, measuring 2-X2SON (0.6x0.3), suitable for space-constrained designs. Its low dynamic resistance and low clamping voltage ensure effective system-level protection against transient events.
