The Vishay Dale TPC36AHM3/86A is a uni-directional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode from the PAR® series, designed for protecting sensitive electronics against voltage transients. It is suitable for applications in consumer, computer, industrial, automotive, and telecommunication sectors, particularly for protecting ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines.
This TVS diode offers a peak power dissipation of 1500W with a 10/1000 μs waveform and a peak forward surge current of 200A for an 8.3 ms single half sine-wave. It has a working voltage of 30.8V and a breakdown voltage of 49.9V. The device operates reliably across a wide temperature range from -65°C to 185°C.
Packaged in a TO-277A (SMPC) surface mount case, the TPC36AHM3/86A is ideal for automated placement due to its low profile (typical height of 1.1 mm). The molding compound meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, and the terminals are matte tin plated for solderability. It is AEC-Q101 qualified and meets MSL level 1 requirements.
