The Vishay Dale TPC27AHM3/86A is a unidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for sensitive electronics protection. It features a working voltage of 27.1V and a clamping voltage of 37.5V at 40A.
With a peak power dissipation rating of 1500W (1.5kW) for a 10/1000 μs waveform, this TVS diode is suitable for protecting against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting. It has a fast response time and excellent clamping capability.
The device is housed in a TO-277A (SMPC) surface mount package, making it ideal for automated placement. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 185°C (TJ), suitable for high reliability and automotive requirements. It meets MSL level 1 and is AEC-Q101 qualified.
