The Power Integrations TOP264VG is part of the TOPSwitch-JX family, offering an integrated solution for offline switchers with EcoSmart™ Technology. This device is ideal for applications requiring high efficiency across a wide load range, with no-load consumption below 100 mW at 265 VAC. It incorporates a 725V power MOSFET, multi-mode PWM control, and extensive protection features including output short-circuit, over-current, overload, overvoltage, and thermal shutdown.

Designed for high design flexibility and low system cost, the TOP264VG operates at selectable frequencies of 66 kHz or 132 kHz, reducing transformer and power supply size. It offers accurate programmable current limit and optimized line feed-forward for ripple rejection. The device simplifies meeting design derating requirements and includes features like frequency jittering for reduced EMI filter costs and a fully integrated soft-start.

The TOP264VG is supplied in an eDIP-12 package, suitable for through-hole mounting. This package offers a low profile horizontal orientation for ultra-slim designs and facilitates heat transfer to both the PCB and an optional external heat sink. The device is rated for 34W of power output and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C (TJ).
