The selectable current limit allows for higher peak power or maximum continuous power in open frame applications, or improved efficiency in enclosed adapters by lowering the current limit. This design flexibility allows for optimum device choice by swapping devices with no other circuit redesign.

 

Key features include accurate hysteretic thermal shutdown protection with automatic recovery, improved auto-restart for fault conditions, and output overvoltage shutdown. It also boasts a no-load power consumption of less than 150 mW at 265 VAC without a bias winding, making it suitable for meeting global energy efficiency regulations and low power standby requirements.
