The Texas Instruments TMS320VC5502ZAV300 is a high-performance, low-power, fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP) from the TMS320C55x family. It features a 16-bit CPU with a clock rate of up to 300MHz, offering instruction cycle times as low as 3.33ns. The device includes 16K Bytes of instruction cache and 80kB of on-chip RAM, composed of eight blocks of 4K × 16-Bit Dual-Access RAM (DARAM), along with 32kB of one-wait-state on-chip ROM.

Designed for demanding applications, this DSP supports a 3.3V I/O supply voltage and a 1.26V core supply voltage. It offers a maximum addressable external memory space of 8M × 16-Bit and features a 32-bit external parallel bus memory interface (EMIF) with General-Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) capabilities. Key peripherals include a six-channel Direct Memory Access (DMA) controller, three Multichannel Buffered Serial Ports (McBSPs), an Inter-Integrated Circuit (I²C) interface, and a Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART).

The TMS320VC5502ZAV300 is available in surface mount packages, including the 201-terminal NFBGA (15mm x 15mm) and 176-terminal LQFP (26mm x 26mm). It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C (TC).
