The Texas Instruments TMS320DM8147SCYE2 is a DaVinci™ Video Processor, a high-performance System-on-Chip (SoC) designed for digital media applications. It integrates a powerful ARM Cortex-A8 RISC core operating at up to 1 GHz and a C674x VLIW DSP running at up to 750 MHz, delivering up to 6000 MIPS and 4500 MFLOPS. This processor supports a wide range of interfaces including CAN, Ethernet, I²C, McASP, McBSP, MMC/SD/SDIO, SATA, SPI, UART, and USB, making it versatile for complex embedded systems.

The TMS320DM8147SCYE2 features an advanced ARM Cortex-A8 core with Neon™ Multimedia Architecture and Jazelle® RCT Execution Environment. The TMS320C674x DSP offers extensive floating-point capabilities and supports mixed-precision operations. The SoC includes an Imaging Subsystem (ISS) for camera sensor connection and an Image Sensor Interface (ISIF), along with a Resizer capable of scaling images and video. A Programmable High-Definition Video Image Coprocessing (HDVICP v2) Engine handles encode, decode, and transcode operations for formats like H.264, MPEG-2, and JPEG.

This device is housed in a 684-FCBGA (23mm x 23mm) package and is designed for surface mounting. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 90°C. The processor includes 1.08MB of on-chip RAM and 48kB of boot ROM. Its architecture supports various operating systems such as DSP/BIOS and Linux, providing flexibility for software development.
