It also includes a Preview Engine for real-time image processing, a Histogram Module, and a Resize Engine capable of scaling images from 1/4x to 4x.

 

External memory is supported via 32-bit DDR2 SDRAM controller and an asynchronous 8-bit wide EMIF (EMIFA). The device offers multiple interfaces including HPI, I²C, McASP, McBSP, UART, and a 10/100 Ethernet MAC.
