The Texas Instruments TMS320C6202GLS200 is a powerful fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP) from the TMS320C62x™ family, operating at a clock rate of 200MHz. This device utilizes the VelociTI™ Advanced Very-Long-Instruction-Word (VLIW) architecture, featuring eight highly independent functional units, including six ALUs and two 16-bit multipliers.

With 3Mb of on-chip SRAM, including 2Mb for program/cache and 1Mb for dual-access data, the TMS320C6202GLS200 offers significant internal memory. It supports a 32-bit external memory interface (EMIF) for glueless connections to synchronous and asynchronous memories, providing up to 52MB of addressable external memory space. The processor includes a four-channel DMA controller and a flexible PLL clock generator.

Connectivity is provided through a 32-bit expansion bus (XBus) and three multichannel buffered serial ports (McBSPs), enabling direct interfaces to various serial communication protocols. The device operates at 3.3V I/Os with a 1.8V internal core voltage and is housed in a 384-pin BGA package (GLS), suitable for surface mounting.
