Peripherals include a PLL with various clock options, six general-purpose I/O pins, a 20-bit timer, and serial ports (UART and synchronous serial port with FIFOs on the 'C203 variant). It is designed for low-power consumption using fully static CMOS technology and includes an IDLE power-down mode.

 

The TMS320C203PZ is supplied in a 100-pin LQFP package suitable for surface mounting. Its instruction set is source code compatible with the TMS320C25 and upwardly code-compatible with TMS320C5x devices, preserving software investments.
