The Texas Instruments TMP235A4DBZR is a precision CMOS integrated-circuit linear analog temperature sensor. It provides an output voltage that is proportional to temperature, making it a cost-effective alternative to thermistors.
This sensor features tight accuracy across a wide temperature range, with a maximum of ±2.5°C from -40°C to +150°C. It operates with a supply voltage range of 2.3 V to 5.5 V and has a typical quiescent current of 9 µA. The output provides a positive slope with a sensor gain of 10 mV/°C and an offset of 500 mV at 0°C.
The TMP235A4DBZR is available in a 3-pin SOT-23 surface mount package. Its strong output driver can drive capacitive loads up to 1000 pF, allowing for direct interface to analog-to-digital converter sample and hold inputs.
Applications for this sensor include grid infrastructure, wireless and telecom infrastructure, automotive infotainment, factory automation and control, and test and measurement equipment.
