The TMP103FYFFR from Texas Instruments is a digital output temperature sensor housed in a compact 4-ball wafer chip-scale package (WCSP). This device is designed for accurate temperature monitoring, featuring a local sensor accuracy of ±2°C over its operating range of -40°C to 125°C. It communicates via an I2C/SMBus compatible two-wire interface, supporting multiple device access commands for efficient bus communication.
With a supply voltage range of 1.4V to 3.6V and a low supply current of 3µA in active mode, the TMP103FYFFR is suitable for power-sensitive applications. The sensor provides temperature readings with an 8-bit resolution. Its surface mount capability and small DSBGA package make it ideal for space-constrained designs.
This temperature sensor is particularly useful in applications requiring multiple temperature measurement zones to be monitored. The ability to tie up to eight TMP103 devices in parallel simplifies system design and reduces component count.
