The Texas Instruments TMDXEVM368, also known as the TMS320DM36x Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM), is a development board that allows engineers to evaluate TI's Digital Media (DMx) processors. This board is ideal for building digital video applications such as IP security cameras, action cameras, drones, wearables, digital signage, and video doorbells.
The DVEVM supports production-ready application code development for the ARM processor and provides access to the HDVICP coprocessor core via DMx APIs. It is designed for immediate application development for the TMS320DM368 and TMS320DM365 digital media processors.
Key features include a parallel camera input compatible with the Leopard Imaging LI-5M02 camera board, video capture of NTSC or PAL signals via component for HD and composite/S-Video for SD, and NTSC or PAL output. The board also includes microphone and headphone jacks, line in/out, UART, USB 2.0 HS, 2GB NAND Flash memory, and JTAG for testing. It comes with a Linux Support Package Software Development Kit (LSP SDK) and TI eXpressDSP Linux-based DVSDK, supporting TI's HD MPEG-4, H.264, MPEG2, and JPEG production codecs.
Note that a power supply is not included and must be purchased separately. A recommended wall mount supply is the SMI18-5-V-P5 (5V, 3A). The kit includes various cables and accessories for immediate use.
