TMDS341APFC

The Texas Instruments TMDS341APFC is a versatile 3-port digital video interface (DVI) or high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) switch. It allows up to three DVI or HDMI sources to be connected to a single display terminal.

This switch IC supports signaling rates of 2.25 Gbps, making it suitable for resolutions such as 480i/p, 720i/p, and 1080i/p. It also supports color depths up to 12 bits per color channel. Each port can accept either HDMI or DVI inputs, and unused ports feature an isolated Digital Display Control (DDC) bus.

Key electrical features include integrated receiver termination, inter-pair output skew less than 100 ps, intra-pair skew less than 50 ps, and 8-dB receiver equalization to compensate for cable losses. The device operates from a 3.3-V supply and offers 5-V tolerance on DDC and HPD_SINK inputs. ESD protection for TMDS inputs exceeds 5 kV HBM.

The TMDS341APFC is housed in an 80-pin TQFP package with dimensions of 14 mm x 14 mm. It is designed for surface mounting and is RoHS compliant, rated for 260°C reflow. Applications include digital TVs, projectors, and audio-video receivers requiring switching between multiple digital video sources.
