The Texas Instruments TLV5616CDR is a 12-bit, single-channel, voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for a wide range of supply voltages from 2.7V to 5.5V. It utilizes a flexible 4-wire serial interface compatible with TMS320, SPI, QSPI, and Microwire serial ports, allowing for glueless integration into various systems.
This DAC offers programmable settling time, with options for 3 µs in fast mode and 9 µs in slow mode, enabling designers to balance speed and power consumption. It boasts ultra-low power consumption, drawing only 900 µW typically in slow mode at 3V and 2.1 mW typically in fast mode at 3V. The device features a buffered, high-impedance reference input and a voltage output range that is twice the reference input voltage. Its differential nonlinearity is typically less than 0.5 LSB, and it is monotonic over temperature.
The TLV5616CDR is available in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package. Its applications include digital servo control loops, digital offset and gain adjustment, industrial process control, machine and motion control devices, and mass storage devices.
