The TLV320AIC33IRGZT from Texas Instruments is a low-power stereo audio codec ideal for portable audio and telephony applications. It supports 16/20/24/32-bit data and sample rates from 8 kHz to 96 kHz.
This codec boasts a 100-dBA signal-to-noise ratio for its stereo audio DAC and a 92-dBA SNR for its stereo audio ADC. It includes a stereo headphone amplifier and multiple inputs and outputs, programmable in single-ended or fully differential configurations. The device supports extensive register-based power control, enabling stereo DAC playback as low as 14 mW from a 3.3-V analog supply.
The record path features integrated microphone bias, a digitally controlled stereo microphone preamplifier, and automatic gain control (AGC). The playback path includes mix/mux capability from the stereo DAC and selected inputs through programmable volume controls to various outputs. The high-power output drivers can drive 8-Ω speakers at 500 mW per channel.
Packaged in a 48-VQFN (7x7 mm) with surface mount, the TLV320AIC33IRGZT operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and requires a supply voltage between 2.7V and 3.6V. Its data interface supports I²C, Serial, and SPI™ protocols.
