The TLP281-4 is a small and thin optocoupler designed for surface mount applications. It consists of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a phototransistor.
Key electrical specifications include a minimum collector-emitter voltage of 80V and a minimum current transfer ratio of 50% (at IF=5mA, VCE=5V, Ta=25°C). The isolation voltage is rated at a minimum of 2500 Vrms. The device has a maximum forward current of 50mA and a maximum collector current of 50mA.
This optocoupler is suitable for applications such as programmable controllers and PCMCIA Fax modems. It is housed in an SO-16 package and features surface mount technology for easy assembly.
Absolute maximum ratings include a maximum LED junction temperature of 125°C and a maximum detector junction temperature of 125°C. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 100°C.
