The Toshiba TLP180 is a mini flat photocoupler designed for surface mount assembly. It consists of a photo transistor optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode, allowing direct operation by AC input current.
Key electrical specifications include a minimum collector-emitter voltage of 80V and a minimum current transfer ratio of 50% at 5mA forward current and 5V collector-emitter voltage at 25°C.
