TLK4250IGPV

The TLK4250IGPV from Texas Instruments is a four-channel, multi-gigabit transceiver designed for high-speed bidirectional point-to-point data transmission systems. Each of the four channels operates independently, supporting serial interface speeds from 1.0 Gbps to 2.5 Gbps, providing up to 2.25 Gbps of data bandwidth per channel.

This transceiver is ideal for high-speed I/O data channels in point-to-point baseband data transmission over controlled impedance media such as printed-circuit boards, copper cables, or fiber-optic cables. It can also serve as a replacement for parallel data transmission architectures, reducing the number of traces, connector pins, and transmit/receive pins required.

Key features include a 2.5-V power supply for low power operation, selectable signal preemphasis for the serial output, and interfaces for backplane, copper cables, or optical converters. It also offers lock indication and sync mode for fast initialization, 18-bit parallel buses for flexible interface applications, and on-chip PLL for clock synthesis from a low-speed reference.
