TLK1211RCP

The TLK1211RCP from Texas Instruments is an active Gigabit Ethernet SerDes transceiver supporting full-duplex, point-to-point data transmissions. It is suitable for EPON/GEPON applications and offers data rates from 0.6-Gbps to 1.3-Gbps.

Key electrical specifications include low power consumption of less than 250 mW typical at 1.25 Gbps, fast relock times under 256 ns typical, and receiver differential input thresholds of 200 mV minimum. The device supports IEEE 802.3 Gigabit Ethernet and ANSI X3.230-1994 Fibre Channel standards. It features LVPECL compatible differential I/O and operates from a 2.5-V supply voltage, with 3.3-V tolerant LVTTL inputs.

This transceiver is built using advanced 0.25-µm CMOS technology and requires no external filter capacitors. It includes a comprehensive suite of built-in testability features and IEEE 1149.1 JTAG support. The TLK1211RCP is available in a 64-pin VQFP package with a thermally enhanced PowerPAD, suitable for industrial temperature ranges of -40°C to 85°C.

It is also compatible with CPRI data rates of 614 Mbps and 1.22 Gbps, making it versatile for various telecommunications and networking applications. The device offers hot plug protection and a single monolithic PLL design.
