TLK1201ARCPR

The TLK1201ARCPR from Texas Instruments is an advanced gigabit Ethernet transceiver designed for ultra-high-speed, full-duplex, point-to-point data transmissions. It supports data rates ranging from 0.6 Gbps to 1.3 Gbps, making it suitable for demanding networking applications.

This transceiver is based on advanced 0.25-µm CMOS technology and features a 2.5-V supply voltage for low power consumption, drawing less than 200 mW at 1.25 Gbps. It is compliant with IEEE 802.3 Gigabit Ethernet specifications and also meets the ANSI X3.230-1994 (FC-PH) Fibre Channel standard. The device offers a comprehensive suite of built-in testability features, including IEEE 1149.1 JTAG support.

Designed for reliability, the TLK1201ARCPR operates across an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features LVPECL compatible differential I/O on high-speed interfaces and 3.3-V tolerant LVTTL inputs. The transceiver is housed in a 64-pin VQFP package with a PowerPAD™ for enhanced thermal performance and is mounted using a surface mount technique.

Key electrical characteristics include a supply voltage range of 2.3 V to 2.7 V and a nominal receiver differential input threshold of 200 mV. It supports both 10-bit interface or reduced 5-bit DDR interfaces. The device is also compatible with CPRI data rates.
