TLK10021ZWQ

The Texas Instruments TLK10021ZWQ is a monolithic CMOS physical layer (PHY) transceiver engineered for 10 Gbps applications. It provides full PCS, PMA, and XGXS sublayer functionality on a single chip, consolidating receiver and transmitter PHY functions.

This device supports interfacing with XFP modules at 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 10 Gigabit Fibre Channel data rates via its XFI-compliant serial interconnect. The system-side interconnect interfaces with MACs and ASICs using a XAUI interface. Key features include on-chip clock generation and data recovery, high-speed adaptive receive equalization, and multiple loopback modes.

The TLK10021ZWQ operates with 1.2 V and 2.5 V power supplies and offers minimal power consumption of 800 mW. It is housed in a 13 x 13 mm PBGA package with a 1.0 mm ball pitch, designed to use less board space. The 0.13 mm CMOS process contributes to its high performance and low power characteristics.
