TLK10021GWQ

The Texas Instruments TLK10021GWQ is a monolithic CMOS physical layer (PHY) transceiver engineered for 10 Gbps applications. It features an XFI-compliant serial interconnect for interfacing with XFP modules at 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 10 Gigabit Fibre Channel data rates. The system-side interconnect supports MACs and ASICs via a XAUI interface.

This device offers high performance with minimal power consumption, operating at 1.2 V and 2.5 V power supplies. Key features include on-chip clock generation and data recovery, high-speed adaptive receive equalization, and multiple loopback modes. It also includes PRBS generator and checker functionality for enhanced testability.

The TLK10021GWQ is housed in a 13 x 13 mm PBGA package with a 1.0 mm ball pitch, utilizing a 0.13 mm CMOS process. This compact package design helps reduce board space and enables increased port density. The transceiver provides full PCS, PMA, and XGXS sublayer functionality, integrating encode/decode logic, FIFOs, and clock drivers.
