The Infineon TLE9252VSK is a High-Speed CAN FD Transceiver suitable for automotive and industrial networks operating at speeds up to 5 Mbit/s. It acts as an interface between the physical bus layer and the CAN protocol controller, driving signals to the bus and protecting the microcontroller from network interferences.
Key features include compliance with ISO 11898-2 (2016) and SAE J2284-4/-5 standards, guaranteed loop delay symmetry for CAN FD data frames up to 5 Mbit/s, and a Bus Wake-up Pattern (WUP) function with optimized filter time. The device offers excellent ESD robustness of +/-10kV (HBM) and +/-9kV (IEC 61000-4-2). It also boasts very low current consumption in Sleep Mode, with a maximum of 25µA, while still being able to detect wake-up patterns.
Additional capabilities include dual power supply solutions for robust behavior during battery cranking, fail-safe features like TxD time-out and overtemperature shut-down, and very low electromagnetic emission for chokeless usage. The transceiver is short circuit proof to ground, battery, and VCC, and includes undervoltage detection on VBAT, VCC, and VIO. It supports 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers via the VIO voltage reference input.
